La Rabia es una enfermedad que puede afectar a todos los mamíferos, incluido a nosotros. El virus se transmite a través de la saliva, mordeduras o arañazos del animal infectado, hasta alcanzar el sistema nervioso, dando lugar a los siguientes síntomas: ➡ Letargo y aislamiento ➡ Aumento de la vocalización ➡ Temblores ➡ Alteración del comportamiento (agresividad, hiperactividad) ➡ Aumento de la salivación ➡ Parálisis progresiva. Lamentablemente la rabia no tiene tratamiento, ya que los síntomas afectan el sistema nervioso central y en la mayoría de los casos lleva a la muerte del animal. La mejor forma de proteger a tu mascota contra esta enfermedad fatal es a través de la vacunación. Se trata de una vacuna obligatoria en casi todas las Comunidades Autónomas. Rabies is a disease that can affect all mammals, including us.
